Founded and Established in 1991 by the Honorable Alberta Tinsley-Talabi on the Eastside of Detroit, MI, Mack and Fischer St. Mack Alive is also home to the Ambassador Fine Arts Collection, Curated by Mr. Henry Harper and Directed by the Art and Sports Director Mr. Richard Todd Smith.

After-School Program

Mack Alive has a tutoring and mentorship program after school to help youth within the community with homework and activities and  to be exposed to experiences through mentoring that can lead them to become productive and caring human beings.

Buddies In Business​

Mack Alive's Buddies in Business Program is designed to help the youth within the community with employment readiness and entrepreneurial training.

Mack Alive Sports 

Mack Alive Sports mission is to engineer a state of perfect health that unleashes all your potential through the use of sports and art. With the therapeutic effect that comes with aerobic exercises and the light we let into your life through the use of beautiful art, we ensure that you really live rather than just exist.

​Adult Literacy Program

Partnered with Wayne State University, Mack Alive host the Harris Literacy Program at its location. The Harris Literacy Prgram strives to leave the greatest possible imprint on the adult illiteracy issue while helping Detroit residents make educational inroads to self-sufficiency.

Social Work Resources

We provide help in finding employment by updating resumes and with job search. Our social worker will help to locate housing, food, clothing and other daily needs. We will help prevent utility shut off and advocate for clients with traditional organizations. We care and are here to help!
